<3 The Calm Before the Storm Around Our Home <3
It is already raining so hard here, with thundering and lightening! Floods are starting in our driveway and it has JUST started to rain, a little while ago. The winds are starting to pick up and the storm isn't actually even supposed to get here until tomorrow morning; it is still south of us. We are already experiencing the effects from the Northern outer bands of Irene's Fury.
I took some pictures yesterday of the clouds so, you can see for yourself they speak loud and clear. I will keep updating with pictures as the storm goes through... I have been praying for everyone and believing you will all be safe.
The Calm Before the Storm Around Our Home <3 I will take more video's during and after the storm, if I can
Please keep safe and post if you'd like ~ I would love to know how you are doing <3

While the storm has weakened slightly, we urge those in the path of the hurricane to remain vigilant and stay safe. As the storm progresses, you can keep up to date on our relief efforts at www.ob.org or by visiting our Facebook page.
Together, we will weather this storm and bless those who are impacted the most.
May God bless you,

Please agree with me in prayer for all those who have already experienced loss of family and homes...
<3 Please take this seriously <3
Puppydog, AKA ~ Princess Von Parent' our Cocker Spaniel who is so loved <3 and such a good girl... with her favorite toy Kimmi and Mike bought for her {she is so black in this picture that you can't tell the difference between her and her blanket} Now, once you are safe ~ I suggest you enjoy yourself and read a good book, play a game with your family members... or whatever it is that makes you happy <3 I have been baking for the last few days so we could have some pre-cooked foods to snack on even cold... I made home made Zucchini Bread * my sister-in-law, Dottie's Recipe' with our Free Range Organic Chicken eggs but, I adjusted the recipe' to my gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free and low-fat version <3 LOL ~ I also made some home made Salsa with our Garden Veggies, including our Jersey Tomatoes, and Fresh Zucchini, Basil and Oregano... SOoooo GOOD! If I must say so myself <3 he he he ... I love baking and cooking during times like this or in the winter during a blizzard. Now if the electricity goes out, we're set to go with great, home-made comfort foods.
It's not finished unless you have your pets along side you ~ snuggling with you and making you feel loved. So, my husband myself, our two cats Snigglefritz and Tiger, our Puppydog Princess Von Parent'... Our Chickens are safely locked in their hen house to weather the storm. {It's actually like a hotel... when my husband builds something, he really BUILDS IT! Let's just say my chickens are very comfortable with their own boxes for beds out of the weather and plenty of places to perch.
Here are a couple pictures of my pets to give you the idea of the peace we have as we wait out this storm. And I do mean PEACE/SHALOM ~ HIS PEACE which passes all understanding. I trust that when I have prayed my GOD has heard me as HE promises and has put a protection of Angels all around us... and all those whom I love and have prayed for as well.
Our Power Went out immediately after writing this, and it's back on now, just over 2 hours later:
Our Power Went out immediately after writing this, and it's back on now, just over 2 hours later:
It's now 8:30AM on August 28th, and we just got our power back after just a little over 12 hours...
The Hurricane is past for the most part. We have down branches and leaves, no trees down, Praise God... we had roaring winds all night long where the trees were almost bending in half.
The only problem we have is our crawl space is flooded because our sump pump needs electricity to run! It started pumping out as soon as the electric went back on this morning.
Thank the LORD it's past us... still praying for all those who have yet to go through this storm and those whom had ill fortune :(
The rain is still coming down, and I am continuing to pray we do not get any flooding, but for the most part we are OK.
Snigglefritz took Tiger's Spot but he didn't last too long, as soon as he saw Tiger waiting, he left it.
Tiger, after Snigglefritz gave up his place on the back of the couch where I usually sit... Tiger always by my side...
Puppydog ~ She knows she is NOT allowed on the furniture ~ when I am not home she gets up on the back of the couch where Tiger sleeps so she can see out the windows and the front and back door all at the same time ~ she has all her bases covered... I just had to take the picture, too cute!
